No word, spoke with MagPul last month and they said as soon as they are done they will ship. I have been backordered on a mess of them since March! Then again still waiting for the Ipod case as well.

Looks like these should be shipping soon. I know I'm in for two as soon as they hit the market.

Correct, I like the MIAD and MOE/MOE+ without the A2 finger groove,
but I am talking about having no beavertail molded in. Just the "standard" back. Like a true A1 grip.

It would be awesome if you guys could produce this variation.
That and and one in a "PDW" or "stubby" configuration. The same A1 style, just a bit shorter for those of us running SBR's.

Your thoughts?
Ahh, I copy. We considered it, but from our experience about 90% of everyone who uses the MIAD configures it with the B2 midsize backstrap/beaver tail, so the market for an A1 size/shape would be very small relative to the existing size/shape. I do, however, like the PDW or stubby idea...I'll run that by the designers later this week.

Well, 2.5 years later it looks like the idea stuck.

Epic thread!

Over two years to develop something Houge has had for.... ever.

Looking forward to see Magpul at 2011 SHOT. Curious if the VCs are in charge and it'll be news product on the shelves, or if it'll be dirt bikes and tactical vaporware. What's sad about my post here, is I'm a huge magpul fan!

I am a huge fan as well, still curious why they released they are going to make it then 2 years later still no product. I thought they got away from doing that when people on ARF were calling them names because of it?

Sigh oh well, at least I still have the Hogues.
