Sling and plate question

Post by BISHOP »

Will the MS2 work with a YHM Single mount sling adapter?

Is the adapter plate's hole large enough?

Should be good to go, but you lose some of the ambi functionality that the ASAP provides.

I have a single point sling plate that looks similar. I had to make the hole a little bigger to fit the snap shackle through. You do lose the reaction side functionality of the ASAP plate but it still works well for me.

Id say get the magpul, that one dosn't look like it will allow for much movement without putting a lot of stress on the sling.

I want to get the sling but only use it for right handed shooting.
The gun that I'm putting it on is a 7.5" AR so there won't be too much stress on the plate, and I'm not planning to do any Ambi shooting with it.

If this plate doesn't work, I might get what Magpul offers, but I worry about the clinking of that loose link.

I'm wondering the same thing. I like the Mapul sling but not their rear plate and they don't even have an option for the front plate. What do you put up there for that fat clip thay use?
