Why bother? Why not make a Pmag Garand clip while they're at it? I like the M14 but it's time in active service with the US military is limited.

Yup. Used in many nations other than ours too. There are a ton of M14/M1a guys out there including myself that would buy them. They're already scored a contract with the Army for the M4 mags, why not introduce M14 mags? Springfield still produces the weapon.

The US military isn't buying new M14's though. The future is 7.62 AR platforms, SR25, LMT's 308, et al. I have an LRB M14SA and would love M14 Pmags, but it doesn't make sense from a business POV for Magpul to invest resources to producing them.

Doesn't matter if they're still buying new ones or using old ones. Last time I checked, if it works, the military will continue to use it and pass it down to other units. There isn't nearly enough funding to provide every single unit with new rifles.
