I limited out in 12 minutes today with 4 qty foot and a half long pinks . I have never seen so many fish outside of a hatchery. I'd guess in the hour I spent on the Green River today I saw 50K migrating salmon.

Where exactly was this? The Green river going into Flamming Gorge dam?
Sounds like fun.

Way down from that. Green river between kent and auburn on the interurban trail. Right in town.

whole bunches of green rivers out there. This one was made famous by Gary Ridgqay aka The Green River Killer.

I grew up in Renton and fished the Green and Cedar rivers regularly (25 years ago). We had good luck in the colder months with steelhead in the Green but only a few salmon that I can remember. I fished the area around Southcenter and had my own fishing hut. The Cedar was shallower and cleaner and the Sockeye were so thick it seemed like you could walk across the river.

What a great place it was to grow up, you never knew if you'd find a body.

I live way up the cedar and tried to take a canoe down last year. Bad move. Lots of limping back to town.
