Raptor-40 questions

Post by Topper »

Hello, I have a couple MP5s (9mm and 10mm) and was wondering:

Is the Raptor-40 still in production? Can a gemtech dealer special order one?

Is there an adapter available to mount the Raptor-40 on a 9mm MP5 3-lug setup? (not threading on, using the actual 3lugs to attach)

Thanks!

I don't believe so, but a quick call to Gemtech might clear that up.

And no I have never seen one of those.

I have two 40 raptors and a 9 for my 40 and 10mm.

My local gemtech dealer was indeed able to call gemtech and order a raptor-40 still. So I've now got one of those to look forward to.

Sweet!

Yes, the first one of the 2 I own gets severly abused in FA on a MP5/40. Paint has come off the aluminum mount. ;-)

The second one is still pristine in plastic wrapper/box.

I tried for over a year to obtain the 9mm piston (bushing) from GemTech so I wound up making my own. It's nice to have a family member with a lathe and mill handy!
My guess is they're a low volume item so supply is limited but it's a pretty simple piece to have machine by a local shop if GT is unable to supply one.
