just in case you were wondering....don't shoot .300blk subs in your tundra.

I was shooting my novesky 10" .300BLK with 220gr subs on my Tundra using a thread adapter and the Can broke in half, spreading all baffles down range. I found the other half of the can 50yds downrange. no baffle strikes but the can broke. In had asked gemtech if .300BLK subs were ok and they said yes. But to keep it on the safe side I wouldn't risk it.

Yikes, this is becoming a sad trend. Multimounts, Vipers, Trinity's, and Tundras all breaking apart not to mention all the concentricity issues.

Sorry to hear this, please let us know how GemTech fixes this problem.

Broke in half? I would like to see a pic of that break.

Just a heads up they break in half shooting 9mm too. Its not the 300 blk that was the problem it was the crappy craftsmanship that is the issue.

If it broke in half, mid tube, then there was an issue with boring out the tube and a crack developed where it was machined or defective tubing.

Willing to bet it is a non concentric tube like alot of the GemTech problems.

We have only seen 3 tubes that WERE concentric come through the shop.

I had to send my Tundra back to Gemtech because I could not hit the broadside of a barn with the damn thing when it was installed on my glock. Funny thing is already had AAC Evo 9 and my Glock was very accurate with it installed.
Sadly Gemtech sent it back to me and did not do anything but shoot it apparently.
I think I have one of the cans that is not concentric so I do not use it anymore it just sits in the safe. I will say this, the thing is super quiet because I can't hear it in the safe at all.

Sad some of the stuff they are putting out.

Just dealt wih a fw more cans with issues.

We added gemtech to the yhm policy here. If you want one you pay upfront before I pick up the phone to order.

I don't deal with the retail side of things like Vette does, so i can't comment, but being inside their cans often I can say they aren't bad but they still have their own random issues, but nowhere as many as I encounter with GT.

The problem is their handgun and rimfire cans are loud and seal themselves shut. I like the ti rifle cans . I don't stock anything from those two companies. Just my opinion.

We have so many requests for it that we will soon be offering conversion services to modify the suppressor so it can't seal itself anymore.

I've only got 5 cans and this thread is bumming me out as one is a YHM and another is a GT. Oh well live and learn, and waste some more money. Guess I'll just hope I got the diamonds in the rough.

Good advise. I have quiet a few GT cans and I have never had any issues; happy with all of them.
