Remington 700AAC-SD and AR-15 suppressor?

Post by remington700aac »

I would like to buy one suppressor that I can put on both my Remington 700 AAC-SD and my DPMS AR-15. I would like to get either the AAC 762-SD or the Cyclone. What is the best way to go? I would like to keep it under a total of $1200 if at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to run it on both guns you will have to go with the 762-SD which uses the 51 tooth mounting system. You can then get two mounts, one for each gun. The 30 cal will used 5/8 x 24 and your ar-15 should use 1/2 x 28. This is the reason the cyclone will not work on both.

7.62 - SD is the way to go, you might look at the SD-N if you are going to run it on tha AR more. Either way, I am pleased with it on both bolt and ARs
Stupid, stupid NFA items.

You can get an adapter to run a cyclone on 1/2x28 threads and I have done it a ton.

Quick question: Where did you find the Cyclone to 1/2 x 28 adapter? Was is made by one of the suppressor manufacturers?

thanks

I believe it was on snipers hide. The manufacturers don't bless the use of adapters unless you are buying their $100 QD mounts, which are in fact a type of thread adapter.
