Light triggers on a budget

Post by [email protected] »

I'd like to set up my .22lr AR (Omni polymer lower/Chiappa upper) w/ a SSAR-15 stock. However my understanding is that in order for it to work on a .22lr you need a good light single stage trigger. How light? 4lbs? 3lbs? Also does anyone know of any "budget friendly" triggers that fit this criteria? I'd love to be able to get this set up to run with Kodiak TL, but idk if that's going to work out......

I've had some triggers worked on by Bill... they're 'ok'. Better than stock anyway. Look for a CMC if you want a better option. A Jard trigger would probably work real well for what you're wanting to do, and they can be had for ~$130 to $140. You can go from 1lb to 4lb pull with them, depending on which spring you go with. I've heard some people complain about the Jards, but I've had them in several AR's for over a year now, and I love them. Take the time to set them up right, and you can't beat them for the price.

Check this guy out, he makes a brake specifically for .22 to work with a slidefire:

I'd rather spend $35-45 with Bill than buy most any after market trigger

His 3.5# AR trigger is great and for only about $45!!!!
WHY spend more???????
Maybe if you want a 2# then someone else.
I have a 6 oz Steyr dual set trigger on a .30-06 Professional Hunter and I will never let anyone else shoot it!

To each his own. I have both, and I replaced his with the Jards. I'm glad the $45 trigger works for you. :)
