Integral 308 - Dark Horse Arms

Post by Loki_stormbringer »

Stumbled onto this and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with one?
Comments?

Thought it looked nice and clean. Good or bad idea for a 308?

Aside from the price being

His dad makes good guns, no experience with his builds beyond a conversation awhile back at the SAL Shoot.

Not sure what the .308 LR caliber means... the LR part anyway.

20" barreled (with suppressor), 6-1/2 lb. rifle is... interesting.

Some people use it to denote Long Range, I guess as opposed to a Short Range 308 ...

Looks nice, if I had unlimited funds I'd probably buy one.

These guys played a big role in getting trusts thrown under the bus.

Tibbetts was one of the founders of NFATCA, Jeff Folodor is one of the owners of Dark Horse Arms.

Tibbetts told me this at a Dallas Gun Show when NFATCA was first organizing and he wanted me to send him $5000 as a founder myself.

Folodor told me he was part owner of DHA at a Training Class.

Sucks when dirty little secrets hit the big screen. I'm sensing a rift in the continuum...

Bendersquint... I'm dying to hear your thoughts.

For those of us in the peanut gallery - what would be the reason for throwing trusts under the bus?

To get CLEO signoff removed for individuals. This was the deal they were trying to make. It is in their petition.

I shot 4-5 rounds through one at SAL Dallas, and I was very impressed. The fit/finish and balance were great, and it was super quiet! I actually thought it misfired until I looked down range through the scope and confirmed I hit the target. However that was my first and only time firing an integral .308 with subsonic ammo, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Also I don't know what the price is.

Why subsonic 308 when you can go with 300 BO for subsonic 30 cal fun,
I don't see on the website what the integral is made of and if full power ammo can be used without damage.
A 700 action in 300 BO and a custom integral I would think could be built for very much less than that price tag.

I think any caliber 700 integral could be built cheaper than that rig.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
