Monolith Front Grip/ Rail System

Post by bonebreak2000 »

Well I got in the new monolith hand guard/rail system this week and I am very pleased with it. It actually makes the FS2000 into a very comfortable rifle now. I wasn’t a fan at all of the fat front grip that the gun ships with but this thing makes it a damn good contender for a smaller defense on entry weapon. It sights up much faster using a vertical front grip and even just using the P90 style grip in the front adds much needed control.

I decided to try a monster 120 lumen Blackhawk light on the side of it and it actually looks and feels great.

The grip is very heavy duty. Feels very solid. It was a very tight fit compared to the FN standard front grip. The finish looks great too. I wish I had a better camera so that I could get some better close in pics of it. Here are a few pics of it with and without some accessories.

Here is the newest version they offer. Its got a metal lower rail and overall seems better constructed. The botton rail does sit a bit higher which fells much better for using verticle grips. Its not as shiny as it looks in the picture. Overall I like this one more than version 1.

The FS2000 has a debris "skirt" internal the mag well. It can be removed, but it doesn't appear that it's a put-it-back-later type operation.

Oh yeah.. No actually I just put the vert grip on there to show it mounted. I got the one early from monolith to do some testing and pseudo review it for them before it hit the market for the brief time that it did. That picture was taken to just show accessories mounted to it. I suppose I could have attacked a coo coo clock or some sort of bottle opener but that was too much work.

Am interested in obtaining one of the monolith hand guard for a FS2000. Have looked everywhere without success......well, apparently not everywhere if one is available, but you seem to have a resource. Any possibility of these being available?

So how do you usually handle light activation? "P90 grip" on the trigger guard... thing... with your thumb wrapped up to hit the tailcap?

Yep. Magpul bought them. Apparently they guys at Monolith were told they (Magpul) would continue to offer the foregrips. I think we all know how that went.

it's been a couple months and nobody answered.

monolith was bought by magpul and magpul does not currently make those grips, however, FNH sells a tri rail made of aluminum. FNH FS2000 Tactical Forend 3830500

i don't have a link to who sells them but a lot of places do.

Just thought I'd post this link with an update from the fore-grips designer, who now works for mag-pul.
