Ruger and Savage

Post by Sparky »

I'm new here and have a couple questions. #1 using a Napa 4003 and doormans w/ 2 chambers, is there a way to make a Savage Stealth 6.5 any more quieter. Right now she sounds a lil more than a 22lr. #2 With a Ruger American 204 using a 7" aftermarket D tube with 6 aluminum cups, can anyone suggest how to make her a Lil more quiter? Again she's like a 22short though. I need quieter, hogs are still running. I want them to say hey get up why you fall down to the dead one. If there is 5 pigs I wanna drop 5 pigs 1 by 1. Can it be done?

I haven't heard either of your devices so it's hard to give exact specifications/design criteria. You can only get the report from HV ammo so quiet. The supersonic crack has it's own wave form and cannot be silenced by a suppressor. This is why truly quiet platforms rely on SS ammunition.

Doubtful.

Even if you made the report of the firearm 0 dB the thump of the bullet striking a pig is going to be quite audible.

10 million years of evolution and survival says run when you hear a thump and the guy next to you falls dead or writhes on the ground squealing in pain. Or 6000 years of intelligent design, whatever your preference.

It would probably help if you were using real honest to God transfer tax paid suppressors instead of oil filter bodies and what ever the hell a doorman is. Just sayin'.

Well, it's got two chambers so I'm pretty sure "man" is not the correct nomenclature.

Been plugging away at hogs in suppressed mode going on 20 years, and the fantasy scenario you described in original post happened only once in which I described in this thread.......... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137996

Might as well use a non suppressed 50 bmg, doesn't really matter, when one goes down, they will make like the bats coming out of hell.
