Rossi 92 in 45 Colt with Tirant 45. Been meaning to do this for years. Finally got around to sending it off for threading.

Nope. 16" Barrel.
BTW those things are a real pain in the ass to put back together.

Re: 45 Colt Lever Action Silenced
I am thinking of doing this on either a .45LC or .45-70 lever-action. Did the front sight have to be moved or the magazine shortened so the barrel could be threaded?

Re: 45 Colt Lever Action Silenced
The Rossi tube had to be shortened a bit. I had the smith do it and paid extra for that although there is no reason to do that if you can cut a tube and file a couple of notches on your own.mbogo wrote:I am thinking of doing this on either a .45LC or .45-70 lever-action. Re: 45 Colt Lever Action Silenced
I've always want a lever, suppressed rifle.
I have a .35 Marlin lever action given to me by my uncle 40 or so years ago when I was a bud in bloom that would be a good candidate but the family heritage thing is in the way. I already have two cans that would work.
It would give me the excuse to reload a different round.

Of course I can't guess the particular dynamics of your family heritage thing... But generally if ask myself how my uncle would have felt about shooting the rifle suppressed. Would he have had a big smile on his face? If so, maybe go for it. If a frown, well, I guess not.hardcase wrote: I have a .35 Marlin lever action given to me by my uncle 40 or so years ago when I was a bud in bloom that would be a good candidate but the family heritage thing is in the way.
