A citizen noted the hammer back on the 1911 carried in the waist band by Charlie Miller, Texas Ranger. The Citizen asks, "Isn't That Dangerous?" Charley replied, " I wouldn't carry the son of a bitch if it wasn't dangerous."

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
These are my current ARs.
I do have another one in the works at this time. The lower is built already. It is a Quentin Defense USMC billet lower.
The upper will be a Quentin Defense 16" 1:7 CL M4 w/a billet receiver, CH, and FA BCG. Accessories will be: Troy MRF-DI (duracoated MAGPUL FDE), MAGPUL FDE XTM rail covers, MAGPUL FDE RVG, MAGPUL FDE MBUS, Aimpoint ML2 (w/ FDE cover) and QRP mount, and a Troy VTAC Tan 2-pt. sling. There are also five MAGPUL FDE PMAGs loaded and ready for it.

Here is a pic of one of mine from a while back.
Some changes have been made but I don't have a current pic.
Hoping to send in the paperwork on a HALO in a month or so.

What's that 9mm. And I really like the .22 I really want to do a .22 sbr only and put a folding stock and a barrel about that short. By the way how short is it.

Re: Silencertalk AR Picture Thread
They're all component builds. The 9mm is on a DDLES (Double Diamond Law Enforcement Supply) dedicated 9mm lower. It takes the Colt style modified UZI mags. It definitely turns heads when folks get a glance at the mag-well. I'm using a Spikes Tactical pistol buffer.Sdustin wrote:Libertarian_Geek wrote: pic

The upper 1/2 consists of:
Spikes Tactical 1/2 x28 threaded 5" barrel. (Soon to be replaced w/ a 3-lug 5" TROS barrel)
CMMG Ramped 9mm BCG
Samson 11" free-float tube
SWR Trident-9
Standard AR-15 Forged Upper
DIY Gas-X:
-Standard Charging Handle (milled notch)
-Home-made "chimney" to re-direct extra gasses out of the forward assist hole (seeviewtopic.php?f=56&t=17632&start=25)
This recipe of parts runs well for me w/ 147gr reloads (probably 99.9% aka 1/1000 failures). The only issue is the can unscrewing (soon to be fixed via 3lug).
I'll have to figure up what overall length is on the .22LR (Barrel length is 4" I believe). The 223, 6.8 and 22 are all on the same lower (it's Formed 1 as the 223).
I've got to tweak the 22 though. I think that I have some trigger problems. I won't crowd this thread w/ details.
