.22 kits?

Post by Blaster7Romeo »

I am looking for a drop in kit for my AR uppers I have a 10.5 in and 16in both with 1x7 twist. I hope to shoot it with my m4-2000 on to make it supper quiet for squirrel hunting. I was looking for any experience anybody has. Which ones work which ones don’t. What ammo works, would the 60gr subsonics, stabilize enough in the 1x7 twist. Any other info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

.22 Conversion kit

Post by Quietly-Effectively »

I use a Colt .22 conversion. It works fine unless I use my Ciener hicap magazine. Then it jams once every few rounds. Lots of fun to shoot in my semi AR15. I haven't tested it for accuracy in my 16" upper. I think DPMS sells a near duplicate of the Colt design.

Running a Ciener kit w/ hi-cap mags through a 14.5" upper with CCI Subsonic and Gemtech M496D. Never had a problem.

I've got a Ciener. Works great. I shoot most all .22lr rounds through it, and the only ones that I've found that don't work are the 60gr Aguila SSS rounds. Makes it a single shot, with a malf drill in between each shot.

Probably anywhere you can find one except from Ciener :? I have been researching some of his products. Products = good.................customer service = maybe not so good.
