These 'pallet wood' stocks are available for sale on GrayBeard forums H&R classified generally ~$45 / set.

This is gonna take until March 2012 to ship. The Model-7 rifles should ship next week.

Now that I finished mine, Im about to make a 5" barrel for it, with an integral suppressor that brings the length out to 16". Talk about Quiet.

+1 What is approx total cost including that upgrade looking like? I think with your help they will get a permanent 25%+ boost to sales going forward.

I don't yet know the cost of this new rail. This is a custom design. If it adds too much to the price we won't do it.

This will be a tough one, with wanting to keep the price low and please everyone. I'd prefer a simple rear peep, like the XS rear sight/rail that comes on some of the tactical 870 models. In the end I'd probably say whatever is cheapest, just the standard scope rail? Sell the irons or that rail with rear sight separately.

How many potential customers do you think want both? And how many that want irons are going to agree on what the best setup is?

I wonder what would happen if someone not associated with AAC posted a link in the handirifle forum to this thread?

Honestly, if AAC makes that sight base it may be worth it to go on there as an advertiser. Graybleard's forum is full of guys with a dozen Handi Rifles all modded up differently. Those guys love to spend money on stuff for their Handis if it gives them one that's a little different than the one next to it in the safe. I'm not making fun of them for it and I'm not exagerating (at least not too much) when I say dozens.

That sight base is great and would sell. I have no idea what the cost is verses the sales it may generate, but I know that base with a peep on it would sell. You'll sell them t guys who don't want the 300BLK, just the sight.

IIRC, Nodak Spud makes a peep sight for the Handis. It doesn't have the scope base on it, but it's an option to consider.

Then you have your answer. If the Mod's want to waste time running around the forum deleting any reference to this gun, then they are childish. It's simply shortsighted - their business sense isn't all that sharp. I would not pay them at this point.

This is going to be a great little rifle. It won't take long for the good word to get around; with or without their assistance.
