I was wondering if the new Civil model of the SOCOM has the heavy barrel with the 2 flats in them or is it just a regular H barrel? I have several M4 barrels with 2 flats on the heaviest parts of the barrel and have not found many laying around and I would just buy the new 16 as replacements. Not sure the flats have much function for NON military. But the barrel looks to be thicker{have not measured it}. Just curious.

The 16" LE6920 Socoms I have seen so far are without flats.
I thought just the 14.5" barrels had the flats.

Thanks, all the colt uppers I have on SBR's and RR's have the flats. I just wondered abot the 16" cause the 14.5 s are hard to get.
