Need help with a hand gun

Yesterday I rented a ruger lc9 and when I shot it the grip hurt my hand does anyone have any ideas on what i could do to make the rough grip not make my hands hurt

Try a Limbsaver. Also, with my PF9 I took some sandpaper to the flash lines because that thing is punishing to shoot. You could rent a PF9 and shot your LC9 afterwards and that would make you LC9 seem like it recoils like a .22lr
