220 or 227

Ok, I am looking at getting my first sig. I want 45 acp. And I have narrowed it down to these two pistols. But from what I have seen and read they are exactly the same except the 220 only holds 8+1 as where the 227 holds 10+1. What else is different about them? What accessories such as holsters or threaded barrels are availible for the two? Does one shoot better than the other? Thanks for any help everyone.

Odds are both guns shoot equally as well and beyond than the capabilities of 99% of handgun owners.

You haven't looked very hard. For a start, one has a one piece grip the other has a two piece, one has more factory configurations than the other.

Holsters, threaded barrels, magazines, sights, suppressors, lights, lasers and more are available for both pistols. What accessories are you wanting for which pistol?

"two"? The 220 has over 20 different configurations and the 227 has at least three. While there may be quite a few cosmetic differences there are also what some might consider significant differences between the models like sights, triggers, ~1/2" OAL and sight radius differences. Between those two models you're talking about quite a few more than just two pistols.

Besides Sig, 45ACP and threaded what are you looking for?

Is this for EDC, the nightstand or the safe?
