For those of you that have a P220 and a Ti-Rant 45, can you use the factory sights and if not what are you using?

Factory sights won't clear it.Gik-Tal wrote:For those of you that have a P220 and a Ti-Rant 45, can you use the factory sights and if not what are you using?
I use Ameriglo on my 1.375" OD tubes with the P220.

This ^. The tall Ameriglo sights are the way to go, no target obstruction.Bendersquint wrote:Factory sights won't clear it.Gik-Tal wrote:For those of you that have a P220 and a Ti-Rant 45, can you use the factory sights and if not what are you using?

I've been hearing conflicting reports on the Ameriglo sights, one place you read says that they clear, another forum writer says that they are just a little short, Thank you all for your assistance, going to order a set soon.

so did you mount the sights on the 220 and did they clear the Tirant?

Re: P220 & Ti-Rant 45 question
Yes I got them installed and they work great. Did have to buy a new sight installation tool however, the standard MGW Sig sight tool does not provide enough clearance to install or adjust the higher sights. I ended up ordering one of the new MGW Sight Pro universal tools, and that works just great. I also ordered a second set for my P226 in 9mm and they work with the TI-Rant 45 great also. If you are looking for an alternate sight, I had to have a set made for my Rock Island 1911 45. In order to get a set that would clear the suppressor on that I had to send the slide to Dawson Precision and they made a custom height set for me.
