I'm looking for a can to stick on the end of a commander. Wet is fine, will probably have to go that route to get any real reduction in a small 45 can anyhow. I fired one from a Para ordnance .45 that was very compact and cycled fine. Does the 1911 design usually function with a wet can or is this one a fluke? What are the things to look for on such a unit?
On the barrel issue should I just buy a govt model barrel and thread it to get the extra needed length out of my commander? If I run it on my govt models who makes an extended barrel that wont cost an arm and leg? I have a fitted match bar sto right now and prefer not to modify it for the suppressor.
