Keltec PMR30

I'm sure there is a thread about this although I couldn't find one. Concerning the Keltec PMR30, I recently acquired one and it came with a threaded barrel sealed in a plastic envelope with some type of flash hider. A booklet enclosed with it says NOT to use a suppressor. Why?
