Is there any advantage in 13.5 x 1 mm VS 1/2 x 28 assuming you are starting from scratch and don't have anything yet?

Thanks. I am contemplating an HK and was thinking of keeping it all metric.Bendersquint wrote:Imperial supposedly has more tendency to unscrew than Metric. I haven't witnessed this personally though.
Metric can get away with less threads than imperial.
Metric has o-rings that help keep the threads clean and the part in place.
More US smiths will cut Imperial threads over Metrics.
I am sure there are more comparisons, just off the top of my head....
