SIG P226 issue
SIG P226 issue
Ok so my SIG isn't ejecting spent brass after each round, would that typify a faulty/broken ejector? Also what level of expertise in changing the ejector out is required? I've researched a couple vids on YT, doesn't look that complicated....but I Know how that goes sometimes
Re: SIG P226 issue
A broken/missing ejector is one possibility for not ejecting.
Not to be confused with not extracting.
Assuming you have verified the ejector is at fault it's not that difficult to replace. If the ejector isn't causing the problem it's still not that hard to replace but it would be pointless.

All good questions.
Since this is silencertalk.com we should ask what suppressor and what Nielsen device as well.
But, even though there is a serious lack of information in his post, I was trying not to treat him like a total noob.

More Info:
Limp Wristing it? Sorry, not sure what you mean by that, I'm completely ignorant regarding gay-jargon, I don't live in that world
Round count: +/- 1000
Ammo Hx: (9mm) From reloads to Factory (Cor-Bon, Rem, Fed, Super-Vel...etc) Doesn't matter the load type, the failure of the spent brass to eject happens with both products. (Factory or Reloads)
Age of Gun: 25 years
Can Type: Sionics Suppressor (Refurbished )
Re: SIG P226 issue
Um ... Sionics. What little I know of them says this is a rifle can?
Does it have a booster? Was it rebuilt with a booster?
Anyway, if you can see the ejector is damaged or missing the skill required to replace it is probably not that different than the skill required to drop in a new AR trigger ... keep track of flying parts, try not to lose small parts, don't have any working parts left over.
I'm pretty sure my wife could do it but she doesn't like getting grease on her nails.

Re: SIG P226 issue
The Sionics while I don't know their entire history, was most commonly mated with the Ingram M-10, thats the set up I had, a Powder Springs Ingram M-10 in 9mm carrying a Sionics suppressor with a black nomex cover. I had it recondioned to bring it up to modern speed...it came out better than expecteddoubloon wrote:Um ... Sionics. What little I know of them says this is a rifle can?

Limp wristing............google is your friend. I won't explain it due to your reply.
But it is a legitimate question.

I may have been thinking of some other can.T78m6b wrote:... Ingram M-10, ...
At any rate, am I correct in assuming the suppressor does not have a Nielsen device either an adapter or integral when you're using it on the P226?
I added these because you seem to like them

It does not have a Nielsen device, the problem occurs without the suppressor attached and as far as any limp wristing, thats a non-issue. I've been shooting this SIG for many years and have never experienced this issue, except for the "occaisonal" stove pipe from reloads, thats the reason my immediate thought was a part failure so I thought I'd ask around here and get some opinions not to be attacked by some limp dick asshole

Well after a couple of reports, I'm locking this thread.
As part of the thread hostility reconstruction process, I see that the OP too offense to "limp wristing" a pistol. I would have thought that every firearm enthusiast would know what that meant. So a barb was thrown one way, words were exchanged, yadda yadda yadda,
So, locked and please try to get along.
