Turning Ruger Mk 2 Target into host

Post by tnjaeger »

I have a Ruger Mk 2 Target with a 5.5" bull barrel and a TBAC 22 Take Down can.

Is the SOP to have it sent off to a gunsmith, cut to 4.5" and threaded?

Best Regards,

By the time you pay a gunsmith, you might be better off selling yours and buying a factory threaded one. I have a mk2 22/45 I'm gonna suppress, but I'm doing the threading myself.

The easiest route (but not the cheapest) is to just get a Tac Sol upper like I did.
