I recently purchased a G23 Gen 4 and I'm thinking of buying a suppressor wanting to know some of the better ones. thanks in advance

The obsidian 45 is currently the belle of the ball.

There's also a couple dedicated 40 cal cans that are still flexible enough to be put on a 9 as well.

Your mostly stuck with 45 suppressors, but if you want smaller and lighter you can get a 40 to 9mm conversion barrel and run a 9mm suppressor.

Most 45 suppressors seem overly large on a compact glock.
Omega 9k is hearing safe and looks good, a full size 9mm can with 147g will be quieter than .40 through a 45 suppressor.

One of my first cans was one from YH in .40 similar to this. https://yhm.net/sound-suppression/pisto ... ssors.html Mine is called the Cobra II and works well but is old school technology. Don't know about these newer models. I use it on my 9s too.

I'd probably recommend getting a .45 instead of a .40.
