Unfortunately, there are no threaded barrels for the P30. You will have to send your barrel out to have a threaded extension made for it.

I'm told ADCO can do the threaded extension & believe Tornado Technologies can too.

about how much would that run me?

I had Adco do mine for about $130, however they only do 1/2x28. Tornado Technologies will do Metric thread, if you want.

I don't know about H&K saying it will not work but I have a P30 and P30L.
After reading this thread I tried my P30L barrel in my P30 with my Evo9 no problems other than looking funny.
My P30L barrel was threaded by TT and runs great with my Evo9.

That's good to know. It doesn't surprise me that the guy at HK said it wouldn't work, when in fact it does. When you say it looks weird, I have to assume it's because it is too long?

I got the P30L with the idea of getting the barrel cut and threaded for my P30
But I could not bring my self to do it.
So I sent off my P30L to get threaded instead.
I ended up with 2 P30's one for carry and one for the range. :D
It's only money if I don't spend it she will.

What's your barrel set up? P30L cut down? Threaded extension? Aftermarket?

Mine is a 1/2x28 threaded extension from Adco. If I were to do it again, I would go through Tornado tech and have it threaded metric. The Adco extension is a little long for my tastes.

If HK ever gets off their ass, I will get another P30 barrel and send it to TT.

I will see what I can do.
I do not have a video camera.(that would take away from my gun fund)
I will see if I can borrow one.

Any chance on that video? Im wondering if the p30l is just as good a host as the p226. I wonder if the lock time is the same.

Video will not happen any time soon I am working 7 days a week right now.
I dont know about the 226. I have not shot one.
But against my glock 32 with lwd 9mm barrel I like the sound of the P30L a little more.
On the down side of my P30L It's like my p22 it spits back more than the Glock.
Next time I go shooting I will take some pics of my shooting glasses after each.

I finally got myself a P30 yesterday....this is one sexy-ass pistol! I really wish Jarvis or someone would make an extended barrel for these. I love the Jarvis barrels I have on my P99's, and I'd really just rather have a one-piece barrel over an extended one. So much so, in fact, that I went ahead and (with much trepidation) ordered a EFK barrel for it. But not before I spoke with Frankie about all the negative issues I've read about. I feel better about it now, so we'll see.

So tell me, how does the P30 suppress? It'll be interesting to go head to head with the Walthers.

just FYI.. I ordered a p30l barrel from H&k to get chopped and threaded for my p30. ETA is some time in January ..

not exactly quick or cheap , but this way my original barrel stays factory .. I think with shipping it was a round $200 ...
