Ruger ?

Post by shootertom »

Heres a quick one, what kind of ruger is in this picture(with the element)? It dosn't look like any of the mk IIIs 22/45's!

Looks like a 22/45 Mark II series with a fluted Tac-Sol 4.5" barrel. I don't have the flutes on mine and I coated my trigger in black. Mine is a great pistol.
Keep watching, I'm bound to do something stupid again.

Yes, Ruger Mark II 22/45 lower with TacSol fluted upper.

A long time ago I owned a MK II, now I have a MK III 22/45. The 22/45 grip frame and controls are MUCH more comfortable for me. I only wish they'd allowed interchangeable grips from the factory. There are plenty of people who do chop mods so they can use standard 1911 grips, but that sort of voids the warranty.

I was wondering about the grip portion, it dosn't look like a stock option.

The grip part is factory, looks just like the grip on mine, it's just the older mod

About time, this never made sense to me why they wouldn't make it to take the 45 grips in the first place.
