How come the SIG SRP-series haven't gotten more attention?

Post by USMC0351 »

I only recently came across a SIG 229 SRP, but understand they make them on the 226 and, possibly, the 220, as well. Looked like a great setup: high profile fixed night sights, threaded barrel with "American" thread pitch, and a lanyard loop. I'm surprised not to see any buzz about them on this forum. Is there something I should know about them?

Just took delivery of a 220 S4 & 226 S4 yesterday. I'm looking forward to going to the range this weekend!

I think the run was limited to RSR......at least that's where my dealer had to go to get them for me.

We're set up with RSR and I've been surprised no one has asked about them. We just started up and we're not real big, but still, not one person asking.

It's not even advertised on the SIG page as a variant. If I had the money, I'd be all over it right now.

I bought one. It sounds just like my HK 9SD with a Trident.

I just bought one too. I really like it. Consumes factory and reloads equally well.

That would be tough as I believe these were limited production runs for RSR and as a result the American treaded factory barrels are exclusive to the S4 series (for now).
