What is your back up gun and why?

How close does a .380 with gold dots come to a 9mm, 38 special, and 357 out of a 2 inch pipe?

Carry a PPKS loaded with Fed Hydroshock ammo.

It fits nicely inside my shirt in the holster that attaches to the "extra" velcro on my vest, or in an ankle holster. Reliable, light, thin, S/S doesn't rust, etc. IMHO, a possible down side is that if your duty weapon doesn't have a safety, which the Walther does, one must remember not to get caught with their Walthers dingy down (safety lever in the down position).

This is opposed to several bud's that carry 2" barreled 38 spcl. revolver(s).

I figure by the time I'm down to my backup it's gonna be close range, shoot for the eyes.

Primary Glock 19/23.

Secondary Glock 26/27.

Or G20 with G29 backup.

Same trigger and basic feel when shooting. Not dealing with two manual of arms. They both take the same bigger mags. And because they're both glocks.

Some other people I know, that seem to know what they're doing, follow this exact logic.

Primary: S&S 4006, Black Talons
Secondary: S&W 442 w/ Crimson Trace laser grip / Win. Silvertips or
Kel-Tec P-32 w/ Speer Gold Dot

Both small guns fit in my front pocket or jacket pocket.

H&K .45 USP Compact with an extra mag. It's small and I like HK's , feels good in my hand, accurate, easily concealable.

Weakside 642. Fits in the pocket well. Easy to have a grip on without "pulling a gun".
