Buying a glock 17 for a suppressor host,should i buy a gen3 or gen4,or does it matter.thanks in advance.

I prefer Gen 3, they are solid- the earlier Gen 4 models had some reliability issues that turned me off. Here is my Gen 3 17 for reference, excuse the poor lighting and quality.

I would get G4 - I overheard some Glock employee discussing that early reliability problem, and I think it was just a spring and they fixed it a long time ago, and have sold millions of guns since.

I prefer the Gen3 RTF2 G17 over any other G17. The grip texture means no grip tape necessary.
