Best Bond movie?

Post by snapshot »

I just watched "Skyfall" (our local theater is...well, local). Not too bad, not great. I liked the attempt at grit, but I think it fell short. The estate scene was OK, and I think Javier Bardem was right up there with Goldfinger.

Personal favorite: "The Living Daylights". WA2000 w/AP rds = 8)

So...what do we have?

I think the opening to Skyfall was one of the best ever Bond intros. I really liked the movie but agree it fell a little short. It was more nostalgic than exhilarating. There were many hat tips to past Bond films in Skyfall I like Daniel Craig in the Bond role and Javier Bardem was excellent.

But "best" Bond ever? I'm partial to the Connery Bonds and I think Shaw was pretty good in From Russia With Love

Adele's theme was spot on. I didn't even think of that in my post because I was thinking about 416's, Aston Martin's & Martini's. :D

I liked the guns and cars in Skyfall, but the story line just didn't do it for me. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but the whole plot didn't make much sense to me. The intro was pretty nice, and I do like Daniel Craig as the new Bond.

I thought "Skyfall" was pretty good, not great, but good.

I have always liked "On Her Magisties Secret Service" with George Lazinby. He was the James Bond between "You Only Live Twice" and "Diamonds Are Forever".

I saw Skyfall last night. I'll have to agree with everyone, that's the best James Bond movie in a loooooooong time. Moneypenny was hot too!
