What's wrong with the simple truth? Details matter. Accuracy is essential. If they can't tell the truth about seemingly, insignificant matters, what else are we not being told the truth about?

Arizona Iced Tea is not from Arizona. Why should they care about accuracy?

I believe they don't want to acknowledge what it really was, because the fruit juice cocktail + Skittles (used as a sweetener) + cough syrup (or better yet, liquid codeine-an opiate)="Sizzurp", similar to "Grape Drank".

Early captures of Trayvon Martin's Tweets showed conversations about making and using the substance and inquiries regarding obtaining liquid codeine.
Purple drank is a slang term for a recreational drug popular in the hip hop community in the southern United States, originating in Houston, Texas. Its main ingredient is prescription-strength cough syrup containing codeine and promethazine.[1] Cough syrup is typically mixed with ingredients such as Sprite soft drink or Mountain Dew and pieces of Jolly Rancher candy. The purplish hue of purple drank comes from dyes in the cough syrup.

There are numerous slang terms for purple drank, including sizzurp,[2][3][4][5][6] lean,[1][3][4][7] syrup,[3][5][8] drank,[5][9] barre,[5] purple jelly,[4][5] Texas tea,[9] and Tsikuni.[10]

Of course the worthless piece of s--t judge will guarantee that the jury will never hear about the alternate uses of poor lil Trayvon's purchase that night.

I believe that very few people are even aware of this at all.

As we all know, it doesn't. It was a misinformation tactic from people who knew what the intent was with the use of the drink and the skittles and didn't want lil Trayvon to look like the thug that he had become.

The judge is trying everything that she can to keep Trayvon from being on trial but it is imperative to the defense to be able to show that he had a propensity for violence.

"Hoax"? :? What do you mean? I assure you everything I've said here is accurate. I've known it since early on and saw the evidence pics early on as well. I have followed every aspect of this case with hyper-interest. I don't rely solely on media sources either. I would imagine there are few people outside of the professionals involved with the case that could know much more that what I've learned. So, I would NEVER be allowed to serve on the jury, even if I were in Seminole County, FL.

The pic of the front face of the beverage can is one I made myself. Yes, that means that I purchased the item at a nearby CVS and consumed it. I found it to be too much like fruit juice blend and it did not have a very strong watermelon flavor.

Moreover, Trayvon’s purchases of watermelon-flavored fruit juice not iced tea as reportedly frequently and Skittles may not have been so innocent. These are two of three ingredients of Purple Drank, a concoction that also includes cough syrup he used to get high, according to his text messages.

Martin tweeted about making the concoction, but who cares? It has no bearing on the case if he wasn't under the influence of a drug at the time of the incident. More so, simply having a bag of Skittles and a non-carbonated sweet drink doesn't mean a damn thing. This is no different than the ATF claiming you have the intent to operate a machine gun because there are laces in your shoes.

These two pieces of evidence potentially could have been used to make something illegal - but until they did, they were just candy and beverage. The judge was right not to mention "grape drank". The only reason the "grape drank" even matters is in the court of public opinion.... but then here, outside of the court room, there is enough evidence to get a clear picture of the situation without ever having to involve 'intent to create a drug' based on candy and whatever that sugar-drink crap was.

It isn't that what you're saying is incorrect, it's that it doesn't matter to the outcome of the trial.

Ah, the gift that keeps on giving...

Massad Ayoob: Perspectives on the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin shooting
http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles2/ayoob143.html
At time of death, Martin, a regular pot smoker and apparently a drug dealer as well, was enamored of a narcotic concoction called "lean" or "purple drank," made by mixing cough syrup with candy like Skittles and fruit cocktails like the Arizona Watermelon drink that the media turned into "iced tea" because they couldn't bear to connect watermelons and black people.

The Arizona Watermelon is quite good. I'd imagine with some tasty skittles and a good shot of cough syrup, it might be even better.
