I am Legend...

Post by Slag »

Absolute garbage. I almost left half way through, and should have. I found myself playing games on my cell phone during the movie (the ringer was off, so please do not shoot me  )

I actually like Smith, but he could not save this film. The best part of the evening was the preview for Dark Knight. They finally show Heath Ledger as Joker, and they are moving back to the Psychopath Joker, rather than the Sociopath Joker. I can't wait to see it.

I watched it already and I have to say I liked it. Wasn't awesome, but it was worth the watch.

But I liked the two other movies and the book.

I liked it. No typical hollywood agendas that I could see. As far as the previews - I don't know what I will watch next as all of them sucked. But I think Will could have hit that zombire in that home invasion scene if he had an Aimpoint mounted instead of an ACOG. I liked his in home preparation though - an AR here, hand grenade there.

I thought it was fine

Above average movie no complaints. I think he was a little nuttier than I would have been after only 3 yrs, the who interacting with store manequines was a bit off the top for me.

NYC is a joke to stay in if you were the last person on earth.

Get some cows and horses and a stream of clean water.

Grow vegetables and hunt.

The end.

I almost fell asleep. The vampires were like hordes of badly cloned Gollums. And it wasn't even a tragedy.

I've been looking forwards to this one too. I hope it's a little better than some of you guys have been saying.

On the bright side though, I just heard that they are working on 28 Months Later, and that it takes place in Russia :D

I thought it was good, although it did leave me a little cold. After Sam died it lost a lot of suspense for me. I found myself most concerned about her throughout the movie. It seemed more like an M. Night Shyanalan film than most Zombie flicks. It reminded me of Signs. It's worth it to go see it.

I really liked it. Im into that kind of end of the world movie. He was a little bit nutty. I think it kind of added to the hopelessness of the whole ordeal. From the description in the book I imagined the vampires to be ALOT different. Great movie if you ask me. Im pretty picky.

+1

I was thinking M. Night Shyanalan (or however you spell it) as well near the ond of the movie, "What a twist!"

For those that don't know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWWtb2uD ... re=related

+1 for Robot Chicken :D

It was good and worth seeing. Plot never gets too deep, and has ample opportunity to do so but I guess they need to keep it at 90 mins.

Yeah, he's nutty but that's the character - Heston was too in OM "There is no phone ringing, damnit!!" and he also was into the mannequins, not to mention his best friend, Mr. Caesar.

For the religious out there, you'll like it. It has a "The Stand" seasoning to it, just a hint though.

I totally forgot to mention that. I did notice it though and the first thing my wife said was hey dont you have that thingy. I felt like a stud  . Another thing, when that lady and her kid show up they told him that they were from maryland so naturally the whole audience broke into cheers.

I saw the movie - liked it. If I had a problem with it, it would be the notion of zombie's getting intelligent, or creating a vendetta or something. I didn't get how the sub-human zombie was capable of establishing a grudge. Far as I know, opposable thumbs aside, what really sets us apart from animals is the ability - nay, the exuberant willingness - to carry a grudge. I don't think this is a bad thing - its just irritating when writers and directors feel the urge to humanize something which, plot-wise, is inherently inhuman. They did it in, "Land of the Dead" too - that was dumb as a stick. Terminator 3, right at the end? The fem-bot gets emotional too. I don't like that.

Also - why was his Mustang so damn gleaming shiny? He had enough potable water and time to scrub that thing?

Last, the female protagonist, "Anna", ends up narating at the end since Will Smith died. "He discovered the cure. Then he died to protect it." She should have said, "He discovered it - and he might have enjoyed the world that he saved and finally found an end to his 3 years of hopeless, manaquin-talking isolation if I had just circled the block a time or two more like he told me to do. But noooooo - as a stereotypical woman, I drive for s--t and follow directions as well as a Rabbi eats bacon."

He was incredibly forgiving of her short-coming - he should've shoved the kid into the fireplace alone. Or gone in with the kid and left "Anna" to hold the grenade.
I read that it's douche to list your guns here, so I stopped that.

The nightseeker (??) was smart all along but got pissed because Neville took his girlfriend. Remember the one that stuck his head out in the sunshine and screamed at Neville after the capture? That is the one that Neville spoke about in his journal, saying they showed a different behavior than normal. That is also the one that set up the trap for Neville (same trap as Neville set up) and eventually led the charge on his home... to get his girlfriend back.

Yeah, there are a lot of weak points it the movie but show me a movie that doesn't have them.

Him over the woman

Post by David Hineline »

Yes he should have given the woman the grenade since he is the one who knew what to do with zombie cure all blood not her. His survival was the important thing.

He apparantly had access to military weapons, but he only took a lame ass .223 with him out hunting. Some heavier weapons while out killing zombies would be appropriate.
