Watch the movie.. The Tucker was so far ahead of it's time. If made today to it's original spec it would still be a wonderful car.
An amazing machine. FAST powerful and that moving headlight, it was perfect. Only NOW can you get them.. it took HOW long to get that idea into production cars? They made it sound like some new idea too.

If I had the money for a Hennessy Viper Venom TT1100 I would have the money to drive the everloving s--t out of it and that is exactly what I would do. My 1100 lb-ft of driveshaft disfiguring, tire melting, frame twisting torque would get me to work and back every day it didn't rain more than an inch, and I would replace the bottom end in my $500,000 garage every laborday weekend.
On the weekends I'd drive a Miata.

Only the Mercedes and Hummer were mine. Driving the others is like borrowing your friend's girlfriend for a bit. I did not drive the McLaren but I did drive the Enzo and Ford. The ford was very nice and could certainly be a daily driver. By the way, the Mercedes is now 10 years old with 80,000+ miles and still is in outstanding condition. There must be something about the quality of the paint they used as it has only been waxed one time that I can remember.
I had read that Ferrari gated shifters were difficult to use but they are not.

I did a rebuild on a 67 convertible ... what a pain in the ass that was, but that was due to the fact that I basically was doing it all alone.

This is a good way to find out what others are paying for a new car:
http://truecar.com/
For example, if you buy a $90,000 Mercedes now, you can negotiate $18,000 off as that is what others are doing. Some other cars, like a Cadillac CTS-V, have very small discounts possible - like $200 is typical and $2000 at most.

I wish I knew about that site before I bought my Odyssey, but according to it, I got better than a "great" price on it. Thanks for the link Robert, I will be using that in the future.

In order to use the site you need to read this:
http://blog.truecar.com/?p=619
It says that destination fees, regional ad fees, admin fees, and fuel charge fees are including in the price the site gives.
Sales tax, registration and title fees, dealer doc fees, prep fees are not.
That means that if you get a quote from a dealer you can only compare it if you adjust for the differences.
