The idea itself is pretty funny, but I would be willing to bet that the rankings were made up.

Interesting, but I'm not sure how they ranked them. And the examples given, were only recent examples, not necessarily the worst examples.

Seems to be a lot of real estate fraud out there. But it's amazing to see what people do, and expect nobody to notice! I think, if you steal somebody's tax return, or house out from under them, you'll get busted.

I will say that TN does have a lot of corruption given that my Form 1 was signed by an interim sheriff because ours had been arrested for running drugs and providing firearms to felons among other things [he fell on his sword to protect the deputies working for him too]. A co-worker of mine had his back broken by an officer in a jail. The officer picked him up, threw him against the wall, and left him on the floor of his cell the rest of the night with a fractured vertebra. We also had a woman at my university embezzle over $18k and she still has her job and has been allowed to pay it back on a payment plan...

That said, we're no contest with IL...
