You can post nudes but not porn, figure that one out :P

You have to really be an asshole to the site owner to get banned here. We are adults here and behave almost like them too, unlike a lot of ARF.

Based on observation, what they said.

The newest published code of conduct is don't post material copyrighted by someone else.

The unsaid code of conduct is don't be insolent to the owner.

I am pretty certain this is not a part of the code of conduct.

Douches are tolerated very well. And bans are pretty much non existent. But be advised, douches are picked on pretty heavily.

Does there need to be? Last poster I recall being banned was DEVIL DOC, who was a consistent jackass in the tech sections. I always act better when there is no code anyway.

Also no for sale ads for firearms, suppressors, or anything that would make google unhappy.

So what about personal attacks? Not that I am into that but over at ARF that one will get you the door quick.

Verbal Judo is allowed...the people here are very knowledgeable and will see through you quickly if you stir the tird unnecessarily...then your breast plate of armor will be exposed to the masses, and you will be dispatched swiftly.

This is the important part. Sure we act immature at times and there are threads where we have some pretty low-brow conversation but at the end of the day if you act like an adult things are ok.

Also, Cortland likes buttsex.
ArevaloSOCOM already has the tripod mount and anti-aircraft sights for his Mark23 and gets a little sensitive when you bring it up.

Other than that, read lots, there's a lot of good information to be gleaned from this site. There are lots if knowledgeable folks here, show them te same amount of respect you would like to be shown and you'll learn an incredible amount of valuable information and have a good time.

Maser posted the other day, happy birthday to the USMC. Well behaved and non-douchey, it was almost disappointing.

Last post I saw from Cortland was about the bike wreck and head trauma.

You can upload an avatar, it should theoretically be "Maximum dimensions; width: 150 pixels, height: 200 pixels, file size: 39.06 KiB." <- note the appropriate use of KiB.

If you float around you'll get a sense of where the gloves can come off from time to time, I *think* I have it partly figured out myself, mostly it's in the RT and NCBAWF subforums ... with a few exceptions.

Making faces and hand gestures in front of the monitor/screen are highly prohibited.

Who's the FNG? Just kidding. Watch the following video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txM4URlaWJM (Jimmy's foreign, indie, subtitled, quasi parody) Image It will give you a pretty good idea of what goes on around here.

Yep.

That video should be a sticky labeled "code of conduct". Hell, Robert should host that video permanently at ST.

I think it would be more interesting and meaningful if the link to that vid was a link to a Rick Roll instead. 8)
