That is some serious ass-hatery right there; and I'm not even sure which one I'm referring to - the teacher or the student? Also, deepest thanks goes out to the school board for enacting a policy that automatically removes the teacher because police were involved. Anyone want to bet the police will be called more often now that the school's idiotic policies are known?

Perhaps at one point in time some teeth will be removed from that girl's head. I wouldn't mind doing it myself.

Middle School is the most difficult age to teach, they are hormonal and nuts. To fully understand the teachers perspective you have to walk in their shoes for a while. I agree with the above comments and wonder where "we" are going? This and the recent supreme court ruling on protestors at a Marines funeral...

That ruling should have been 9-0, not 8-1 in favor of that church. That is not a sign of the times, its a sign of a strong judicial system that they decided with their heads and not their hearts.

While the comments here are correct they do not reflect my first reaction. "Bout time." Teachers and school admins have been pushing this zero tolerance crap for long enough that the students are catching on. Now it seems that two can play that game.
