Re: Is this Nigerian scam?
The scam works by sending a fake bank check for too much, and then asking you to send back a partial refund. It happened on Teen Mom, and the camera crew was aware of it but was under contract to not interfere, so the mom got scammed.
Re: Is this Nigerian scam?
WTF, thats kind of wrong. But im glad they didnt interfere. I mean, im sure they would have lost so many viewers that they would have had to cancel the show then we have a higher unemployment rate
pro-gun gun owners are a minority.

Yes. It's a classic Nigerian scam. The check that you'll receive will be over the amount. He will ask you to send him the difference. The check will be bad. You'll be out, the difference and the item that you had for sale (if you proceed as he expects).
If you're up for the run, you can have some fun with this though. For some folks, dealing with these scammers is a satisfying hobby.

Right... "Nigerian" refers to the type of scam made popular by Nigerians, like a ponzi scheme gets its name from Charles Ponzi.D9M9TR9S wrote:It's a scam, but not necessarily Nigerian...
