Shame on Sports Authority.

Even paint has metals in it.

I was just commenting on one of those 'magnetic power bracelets' at a convenient store the other day. The package claimed that it was clinically proven. Actually, I should have purchased the item, or at least studied the package to discern what clinic, and what particular trials were undertaken to derive at that "clinically proven" label.

As far as I saw the only thing Sports Authority was claiming was that it might add some style to your workout wardrobe.

True - they just talk about the Titanium as if it does something, but makes no actual claim to specifically do anything - and they let people make their own assumptions. Same kind of thing GNC does with their herbal treatments. Not actually illegal, just trying to stay inside the law while praying on the stupid.

I have a piece of Ti that is 12" across and is 1" thick. I wonder if I could convince anyone it could turn them into the Hulk... I don't know why so many people think titanium is so supernatural.

This was the first and only quack product I've bought (at age 14):

The placebo effect is powerful, indeed.

Never underestimate it.
