have you considered an S2R?
Ive had 2 dozen Ducs and counting. only 1 thing to say, DRY CLUTCH!!
current stable (minus WCC)
daily beast!
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! AND WE'RE NEIGHBORS TO BOOT!
Yes, this will be my 1st street bike but Ive ridden large bore dirtbikes for years. Honda 450R. I'm pretty set on the 796 monster, but as far as the pipes I like the lines of the vance and hines and the comp werkes. I don't care for termi's. that said this bike is just for puttin around town, I've seen enough death on these on the job and I just want to cruise around. No racing.
Where do you ride?

I live in Miami but I have a place in Tampa. I ride all over FL. Love the Tampa area for its whinding country roads.
Take a look at akrapovic or zard... They've been making systems for ducs for ages. Also, I swear by arrow on all my ducs! You sure chose a bike with balls for just "cruising"!! Enjoy, done right nothing in its range can come close! (in any aspect)

Re: Anyone here own a Ducati?
Yeah I just love the lines and always wanted a ducati. It will be getting CRG lane splitter mirrors, fender eliminator, frame/fork sliders, and exhaust pretty much right off the bat. I would love a dual side by side headlight conversion but haven't researched the options yet. I'm saving up money now and I'll have some debt paid off late feburary so I'll be ready to go right back into debt on the duc.

I've had a few.
Currently have a Monster S4R and a 999.
If you've never ridden one, I highly recommend it!

sorry, never saw this... brother, there is no sexier sound then a dry clutch at a light or at idle... starts convos, differentiates you from jap rockets and hogs. think about the "chatter chatter chatter"

Re: Anyone here own a Ducati?
The thing about DUC's is....they are one of the only production bikes with soul. I'd go out and just look at them, kinda like pulling a gun outta the safe that you havent used in a while just to fondle it.
Beautiful bikes!

Re: Anyone here own a Ducati?
The whole key is soul.
Every riceburner looks alike. Every Harley looks alike. Victory tries, but they can't go far from Harley-ness. BMWs do as well as they can, but nothing looks, feels, and sounds like a Duc.
Cars are the same. The only cars with style and soul today are supercars that none of us can afford.
I have 38 antique cars. All British, Italian, or German. Nothing newer than 1974. An MGB-GT or a Jaguar XK-150 have more style and thinking than almost anything made since 1980.
I'll start collecting Ducs eventually, perhaps with the occasional Ariel or Norton!

Re: Anyone here own a Ducati?
Its HOME! And boy does it ride nice!
The fender eliminator kit won't be in for a week but I couldn't wait. I had to bring her home.
They did install the integrated LED tail light. Next is CRG lane splitter mirrors.
In the "man space" (3rd car garage spot)

Heckuva nice bike!
I'm thinking I'm gonna get a BMW F800GS in April or May. There are lots of good rides around here that I can take off up a mountain road and get lost for a few hours.

Ooooooooo. Look at the pretty dash lights. Love the sound when it is idling. Nothing worse than a piece of junk trying to compensate by being an obnoxious loud bike.
