Those pics have to be fake? Right?
Re: Whitney
If that is never posted again, I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: Whitney
Nonsense ZS. Never hearing her is impossible. Not knowing who she is is easily possible. I only know because I saw the bodyguard as a kid. Had to. Starred Elliot Ness and Robin Hood.

This thread has gone horribly wrong.
Re: Whitney
Why do I feel like a conversation about Top Gun with Russian would go like this:
Me: Hey Russian, you seen Top Gun recently?
Russian: That's the volleyball movie with the pilots right?
I'm just gonna leave this here.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekXxi9IKZSA

I can't seem to find that old thread where someone asked everyone to vote in a poll of who they trusted more.... Russian or Kwik2sueick wrote:.....I want to go back and change my vote on the Russian vs. Quicksue thread!
Can anyone find it? Perhaps it is in "random talk-old" or something.

Demand stringent background and mental health checks on your politicians.

Bingo. Thanks dad.

It seems to me that the old thread will probably get some "bumps" today.
Ack! I can't change my vote from Russian. Poll locked!
It seems to me that the Russian vs. Quicksue thread is more worthy than this Whitney one.

Re: Whitney
I know Pink Floyd. I have heard of Marvin Gaye but hate what I know. Never heard of Dwight. Heard of Guns and Roses but not sure of what song they are known for.zulusierra wrote:From 1986-2012 did you avoid radio? Social situations? Parties? Television? Movies?
Not knowing Whitney Houston is akin to not knowing Pink Floyd, Marvin Gaye, Dwight Yoakam, Guns & Roses, etc...
Honestly, do you have a social or developmental disorder such as Aspergers?
Did you grow up Amish?
1986-2012 is a pretty wide range, but I listed to recorded music, never broadcast music. It was mostly Beatles for me. Did Beatles count as Pop music in the 1960s? Or if the music is too high quality does it not get classified as Pop?
Re: Whitney
The Beatles were pop.
And they sucked!
And they sucked!

You, sir, are a unique individual. That's ok.
I just come at the world from a different philosophy I guess.
I people watch. I observe. I enjoy seeing trends, social interactions and the like.
Sometimes the best part of pop culture is the voyeuristic aspect.
Also, I love music.
