Any Firefly fans on here?

Post by commissar_yarrick »

It's been Ten years since it came out and there's still packed pannels at SDCC (I have a friend who waited five hours in line to try and get in, he didn't)

It's 52 minutes long:

Yep. A great series while it lasted. Almost as good as Farscape. My opinion only.

Far better since Firefly didn't require puppetry and had a coherent storyline. FF was as close to the quality of the original Bab5 story as anyone has managed (and was probably better in some ways0.

I remember seeing the ads for Firefly before the series started -- lots of references to a "prostitute" being on board and as such I dismissed the show as just another T&A sci-fi show.

How wrong I was. Chalk that advertising campaign as yet another screw-up (like not running the pilot episode first) by the suits that ultimately led the death of what could have been a long run of an excellent series.

Yhea, I'm a fan too.

Great show... I just watched the series again recently. The new Battlestar Galactia series was awesome too.

Just discovered Firefly for the first time earlier this year when Sci-Fi did a weekend marathon, Tivo'd the whole thing and watch over two days.
