Harvester vs Specwar

Post by wtrski76 »

I understand that these cans are intended for completely different purposes, however, all else held equal, i.e. same rifle, ammo, atmospheric conditions, etc. How will the sound level and tone compare between the two cans? blowback? Mostly interested in .223 (16") , 300blk super/sub (9") on AR platform and 300WM. Looking for something quieter to compliment my SDN6 and be rated for high power.

The Specwar is the quieter than the Harvester and your SDN6.

The Harvester was developed to be a lightweight hunting suppressor used on bolt action or single shot rifle and the max rate of fire is 10 round per minute. If you go over this you need to wait for the suppressor to cool.

For your intended use I would suggest the Specwar. It is rated for calibers up to .300RUM and is also rated for SBR and full-auto use.

Thank you for the quick reply. That's the kind of information I was looking for. Would never see F/A use, but good to know the Harvester is rated at 10 rd/min.

Does the Harvester come with a thread adapter, or is that an additional cost?

The Harvester does not ship with a thread adapter.

If you pay the MSRP of $750 the dealer should include a thread adapter though.

So if you buy a Harvester it can not be attached with out buying an adapter?
