Fixed that for you. Put my Halo on my AK74 and had a baffle strike. Abrams fixed the can for free and gave me a new mount (old one was out of spec) but I'm still too skeered to put it back on and shoot it.

The Specwar 762 will work with the 7.62x39 cartridge, however AK threads are notorious for not being concentric with the bore. Before adding a suppressor to an AK-47, we would recommend removing the factory threads and having it professionally threaded concentric with the bore by a competent gunsmith. Then you can also eliminate the need for an adapter.

I've heard this a number of times too.

How do they do that? Add some sort of sleeve? Got any videos of an AK with the Specwar hanging off the end?

Are y'all going to make a 15x1RH mount for HK-91s and clones?

Thanks,

Well if you need a second R&D mount effort in the Southeast for the purpose of testing, let me know. I've got a ten month wait for my 7.62 Specwar paperwork to clear. 8)

In all seriousness, I look forward to purchasing the mount when y'all bring it to market!

Both the Specwar 762 and 556's baffles are now made from the same alloy as the Saker. We have already started shipping the Specwar 762 to wholesalers, so dealers should start to see them soon.
Do all Specwar 762 units have the Polymimetic baffle stack? Were any released with the conventional inconel/stainless core?

M15, M18, and 9/16x24 flash hiders should be ready next month.

The Specwar 7.62 has a full Stellite core just like the Specwar 5.56.

Thanks for the update Henry! Any idea on when the dealers/distributors will have them in hand? I ask as I have not been able to find anyone stocking additional mounts for the last four months.

Thanks again,

I would expect about a month from us shipping them to distributors until you start to see them available.

Andrew,

Any news on the availability of the muzzle brakes for the Specwar762? Looking for both 1/2x28 and 5/8x24. Granted, I won't NEED them until I can posess my silencer around July....... Thanks for your help.

Also, would you recommend the brake or flash hider for an LMT MWS with 16" barrel? Just want to protect the baffles. Will only shoot .308 with that barrel length.

We have begun shipping the 1/2x28 brakes, the 5/8x24 are next on the list. The blast baffle on the Specwar 7.62 is beefy, either muzzle device will work great.

There isn't really a serial cut off as we had to jump around on the serials a bit during production.
I apologize for digging up an old thread but this comment had me wondering for a more definitive answer. How would a Specwar 5.56 owner know which baffles they received? Thanks!

We build and ship out of chronological order depending on when forms are approved so we did not keep a record of which cores where which.
The older core has a very thick Inconel cone as the blast baffle so it will last.
If you get to the point that you have fired so much ammo through your Specwar 5.56 that you have eroded a 30 cal hole through it then send it back to us and we will rebuild it for you.

I have the 5.56 version of the Specwar but I assume the same applies? Thanks for the response!

There are plans to offer the brake in the 15x1. I do not have an ETA at this time.
