I'm building a 9mm AR Upper around a 5" Barrel and Osprey 9mm Can and wondering if anyone has suggestions for a handguard large enough for the Osprey to mount underneath? I'm wondering if the Spikes BAR would work at 1.79" ID? Let me know if anyone has tried this already.
Thanks!!!

Re: Osprey 9mm...mounted under Handguard???
The Osprey measures 1 1/8" from the center of the bore to the bottom of the silencer. The handguard would need to be around 2 3/8" internal diameter to clear.

Okay thanks! Looks like I may need to go with a shorter handguard and longer barrel to get the can out front......say 7" handguard with 9" barrel? Think that would work or would it be too close?

That would give you plenty of clearance

5.5" YHM barrel w/ 4.15" YHM pistol length rail and Osprey9

Got it figured out.....gonna go with A Centurion FSP handguard and simply time the Osprey "up" rather than "down".

Won't you have a problem contacting the lower portion of the rail when trying to rotate the Osprey on and off?Wahoo95 wrote:Got it figured out.....gonna go with A Centurion FSP handguard and simply time the Osprey "up" rather than "down".

Centurion is a two piece which clamps on. No matters, my bud decided to just go with a 4" handguard.Flipz wrote:Won't you have a problem contacting the lower portion of the rail when trying to rotate the Osprey on and off?Wahoo95 wrote:Got it figured out.....gonna go with A Centurion FSP handguard and simply time the Osprey "up" rather than "down".
