Saker 5.56 MAAD Mount Maintenance

Post by Tango2249 »

Is there any maintenance required for the MAAD mounts on the Saker as far as cleaning and lubing?

clean the inside of the maad mount with a brush & your preferred gun cleaning solution. If you don't, the 3 teeth that clamp onto the mount will get stuck & it will be a major bitch to get it off! I know from experience. I personally just put a 12g brass chamber brush on my drill & go too town.

Is it necessary to put some gun oil/lubricant inside the mount also?

Clean it like you would clean a gun. Use some gun cleaner and a stiff brush to clean the carbon and debris and then lightly lube the moving parts.
