Could an Octane 45 be sent in for 9mm baffles?
Making it an extra quiet 9mm silencer?

Nope, can't change bore diameter once caliber has been designated.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Guessing that also applies to just swapping the endcaps?
Re: Could an Octane 45 be sent in for 9mm baffles?
Apparently not. Saker 7.62 can be fitted with a 5.56 endcap. Must not be considered a silencer part, but baffles are another story.

The endcap on the saker isn't really an endcap in the sense that it holds the baffles in, the endcap on the saker is just an accessory. I'm betting ATF would have a negative opinion of putting the 5.56 on the 7.62 though. But I also thought that sig brace thing would be shot down after what some yahoos are doing with it, sooooo...there's that.
Stupid, stupid NFA items.
