Pinning Trifecta Brake?

Post by plumber576 »

My google-fu is a bit weak tonight...

Can a Saker Trifecta Brake be pinned to a 14.5" barrel to get to the 16" OAL?

Yes it can. The Sake muzzle devices are 2.62" in length. We recommend pinning and welding on the wrench flats so that it does not interfere with the mounting of the Sake muzzle device.

One question. When the SCo brake is timed properly the wrench flats are at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions. Why did SCo put the wrench flats at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions instead of the 12 & 6? Most prefer to have the pinning done at the 6 o'clock position so it is on the bottom of the barrel. As far as esthetics go it would seem like the 6 o'clock position would be preferred. Any thoughts?

Is this the same for the specwar flash hider and brake as far as OAL being the same, or enough to bring a 14.5 out to 16?

The Specwar muzzle devices are 2.46" in length. Still long enough to bring a 14.5" to the 16" when permanently attached
