Osprey Fixed adapter installation

Post by daf290 »

I am trying to install a new fixed barrel adapter for 9mm Osprey. I can get the current Sig adapter removed with no issue. When trying to install the fixed barrel adapter for my new 300 blk subsonic pistol, the adapter does not go down to the threads on the Osprey. It catches on the ring that unlocks and allows the accentric Osprey to be properly positioned. I have opened the catch and can move the cam pin out of the way but the adapter hangs up on the steel ring. Do I need to remove this ring also? Does it simply pull out over the cam pin? Seems like it must but I do not want to mess up my new toy..

The fixed spacer for the Osprey is just a cage that replaces the spring in the booster. It sounds like you have the fixed mount for the Octane, which won't work on the Osprey.
