OEM Omega

Post by eastern_hunter »

Just got a note from Aero Precision announcing that they would provide an OEM Omega. Are this can's specs and limitations the same as the usual Omega? Good to go on 16" 308 ARs?

Do you warrant the can or does Aero Precision? What is the warranty?

Thanks!

Is it even a Silencerco can?

Mailer clearly stated it is a Silencerco product ... both in the title and with the SIlencerco logo in the body of the flier. Standard configuration is 5/8x24 thread on, flat end cap. States other Omega fittings work with it.

It looks like a stripped down version of the Omega everyone else is selling (no anchor brake, no ASR mount or brake). If you're thinking of buying one, I'd just get one from a dealer competitive in price. Our price is only $20 higher than this one.

Not considering one. Have 4 30 cal cans now and a 338 can in process ... so am well covered.

The Omega does seem to be pretty well sold to the wall for quite good reasons. Hoping that Silencerco is finding other paths to make their product available through a high volume means since the falling out with the Silencer Shop.
